I visited St. Lucia in April
and had wonderful treatment in the Dialysis Unit at Tapion. Cathy is a great
nurse and even checked out the small hotel we had chosen before our arrival
and gave us lots of info about the island.

I received dialysis treatment for
2 weeks while on vacation in March 2005. Kathy Lane was wonderful and very
helpful. I,m going back again in March 2006.

...forgot to mention-Cathy is
very flexible with her dialysis times. She starts work very early. If you
arrive at 6.00-6.30am you are straight onto the machine and out enjoying
your holiday by 11.00am. This is a major benefit.

I received treatment here over
Christmas and New Year 2005. Cathy and the staff were marvellous and I would
recommend the unit's healthcare highly. It is worth noting however- 1) Due
to changes in the Bank of Canada (used by the unit)credit card payment is
temporarily unavailable, meaning that payment has to be made in cash (320 US
dollars per treatment). 2) There is no facility to be collected from your
resort and transported to the unit. This has to be done by taxi (which is
not cheap-$30 each way from Club St. Lucia)or by bus which is complicated
and time consuming but inexpensive. 3) You get a cup of delicious coffee but
unlike most units worldwide there is no food provided. Remember to take
something!! This unit provides safe and efficient service to visitors who
visit one of the most fantastic islands in the Carribean It needs tourist
income to do well. Despite the comments above (which are made just so you
can be prepared)I would recommend this island and this unit to anyone. Get
the flights booked.
