be second to noneHer Excellency Dr. Pearlette Louisy officially
opened our dialysis unit in Tapion hospital, Castries, St. Lucia in January
1999. Formerly known as Island Dialysis, St. Lucia Dialysis is owned and
operated by our Medical Director Dr. Martin Didier and Nursing Manager
Catherine Lane, RN. We offer the complete range of treatment options and
support services necessary to provide the highest level of care possible for
people living with chronic kidney disease.
Dr. Martin Didier our
Medical Director is proud to ensure our high quality care meets and exceeds
national guidelines. St. Lucia Dialysis surpasses national averages on
measures of adequate dialysis and patient well being. High quality care
ensures patients feel their best and are able to do the things they enjoy.
Not all dialysis care is the same! One commonly heard concern is that of a
patients concern of the quality of care he/she will retain at our unit. It
should be noted that our staff have been recruited from Canada, our
equipment and facilities are state of the art. In fact upon completion of a
visitors one or two week vacation it is quite common for us to be told that
our treatments exceed those the patient is used too.
Catherine
Lane, Registered nurse originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is glad she
chose to work in dialysis and likes, "knowing that I am able to help
make someone feel better and help them to live longer." In addition to
managing the unit Cathy is also active in patient care as she personally
attends to visiting patients.
"We are becoming the greatest
dialysis company the Caribbean has ever seen through our commitment to
upholding our Mission and Values every day, in everything we do. We are
trusted because we are trustworthy. Our personal, team, and organizational
values are aligned with EVERYTHING we say, and EVERYTHING we do. Most
importantly our success can be attributed to the fact we like what we do."
